Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament 6/22

Bass fishing right now couldn't be any better on Lake of the Ozarks, which was evident last night when the forty-two teams brought their catch to the Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament weigh-in.

There were twenty-eight limits brought to the scales, however, if the five fish limit didn't weigh seventeen pounds it was all for naught.  There were six limits weighing seventeen pounds or better that placed in the top six places.  Nineteen of the bass weighed 4 pounds or better, eight of which weighed 5 pounds plus.

Big Bass of the tournament tipped the scales at 5.64 pounds and was caught by the team of Derek Brown and Spencer Clark.

According to the anglers, their best bite was on jigs and plastics eight to fifteen feet.

Free entry for next week's Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament was drawn by the team of Marty "Ski" and Al Rudolph.
