Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament 5/23

Fifty (50) teams showed up for the Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament knowing that fishing Lake of the Ozarks on Memorial Weekend would be impossible with all the ocean liners and personal water craft. It was a good decision because the bite was on and the fishing conditions were perfect.

There were twenty, 5 fish limits brought to the scales, which isn't counting the teams with four keeper bass, but just not enough weight to get in the hunt. Eleven of the bass weighed four pounds or better, which included one toad tipping the scales at 6.28 pounds caught by the team of Shawn Kowal and Mike Hill for Big Bass of the tournament.

Free entry for next week's Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament was drawn by the team of Wayne Henderson and James Rosehaur.

Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament 5/16

Another perfect evening of weather and fishing for the forty-five (45) teams taking out of PB#2 for the Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament. The bite continues to be outstanding. The bass are beginning to move to deeper structure, but there are still shallow fish to be caught.

Although the tournament is only 3 1/2 hours, the anglers continue to bring some heavy bags to the scales, but there weren't as many four and five pounders caught as there were last week. There was however, a healthy 5.47 pound unit weighed for big bass of the tournament that was caught by the team of Donnie Snelling and Dave Wolf, which included four additional bass totaling 21.25 pounds.

Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament 5/9

Another excellent night of fishing for the forty-four (44) teams participating in the Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament open circuit. The weather cooled off considerably, but the bass fishing didn't, which is evident by the heavy stringers brought to the scales. If the anglers didn't have at least seventeen pounds the chance of cashing in wasn't going to happen.

There were sixteen bass over four pounds, eight of which weighed five pounds are better. Big bass of the tournament weighed 5.47 pounds caught by the team of Scott Dickerson and Kevin Hahn. The team of Wayne Henderson and James Rosenhaur brought a 5.84 pound toad to the scales, however, because of engine trouble they were late for weigh-in causing a one pound deduction from their big bass.
