Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament 6/8

Another good turnout for the Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament.  The forty-six teams had excellent weather and lake conditions, and the bite has been excellent as well.  The bite just gets better and better each day and the bigger bass are finally beginning to show up at the weigh-ins.

Since there has been heavy generation for the last couple weeks, the points have been producing some good keepers.  The bite continues to be plastics, jigs and spinner baits worked eight to fifteen feet.  There hasn't been any reports of bass being caught out of brush piles, but that could be on purpose.
There were thirteen bass over 4 pounds brought to the scales and several more 4 pounders that I know of that weren't weighed because the the anglers total weight couldn't beat 16 pounds.  Five bass over 5 pounds were weighed, one of which tipped the scales at 5.85 pounds for big bass of the tournament caught by the team of Dan Weber and Richard Ziegenbein.

Nicky Winn of Tom's Slaughter & Meat Market, located on A Road, in Montreal donated various flavors of beef sticks to the 7th place team of Dennis Pace and Tom Kliene who weighed 15.73 pounds.
Free entry for next week's Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament was drawn by Rick Butler and Bruce Lowrance.
