The bite slowed down tonight compared to the last two or three months, as were the amount of 4 and 5 pound bass brought to the scales. There were only six teams with a five fish limit and only seven bass weighing 4 pounds or better. However, there were two bass over 6 pounds weighed, which isn't to shabby for this time of year.

The first 6 pounder brought to the scales weighed in at 6.03 pounds, which was big bass of the tournament until Gary Shultz and Scott Melton came to the scales with a 6.17 pound unit claiming big bass of the tournament.
1ST PLACE -- SCOTT, JR & SCOTT SR DANEK
First place went to Scott, Jr. and Scott, Sr. Danek who brought a limit to the scales weighing 18.53 pounds. Their big bass weighed 4.91 pounds.
2ND PLACE -- JEFF BEAUCHAMP AND WINN STEVENS
2ND BIG BASS 6.03 LBS.
Second place went to Jeff Beauchamp and Winn Stevens who weighed a limit tipping the scales at 18.36 pounds. There big bass weighed 6.03 pounds. 
3RD PLACE --- DONNIE SNELLING & DAVE WOLF
Third place was claimed by Donnie Snelling and Dave Wolf who brought a limit to the scales weighing 16.71 pounds. There big bass weighed 3.76 pounds.
4TH PLACE -- GARY SHULTZ & SCOTT MELTON (NOT PIC)
Fourth place went to Gary Shultz and Scott Melton who brought a limit to the scales weighing 16.12 pounds. Their big bass weighed 6.17 pounds.
Unfortunately none of the Bass Cat or Triton owners won the tournament, but they will have another chance on July 31st.
