Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament 8/22

The keeper bite continues to be tough, which is typical for August and September. Most of the anglers reported catching one or two keepers and not very many small bass, however, in a 3 1/2 hour tournament anglers best have a productive bank or brush pile within the first hour or so to be in the hunt. Besides being August, the lack of generation for the last three months is part of the problem for the slow and inconsistant bite.

Out of the twenty-two (22) teams fishing the Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament, only two bass over four pounds were weighed. Big bas of the tournament weighed 4.97 pounds and was caught by the team of Dan Bowman and Scott Stonitsch.

1st. Marcus Sykora & Chuck Knight 5 Bass 15.64 lb.
2nd. Terry Blankenship & Ron Clement 5 Bass 14.27 lb.
3rd. Mark Wassom & Jim Gianladis 5 Bass 14.05 lb
