The lake area was hit with some heavy rains all day, however, just prior
to the 6:30 pm take-off the rain stopped and the thirty-six
36) teams enjoyed pleasant weather for the 3 1/2 hour Missouri Angler
Wednesday Night Tournament.
Bass fishing continues to be excellent, but seems to slow down at dark for a few of the anglers, but not all. Just like last week some of the anglers said they couldn't get bit once it became dark, but other anglers were just the opposite, they said their better bites came after dark.
There were eight bass weighing 4 pounds are better and two that weighed 5.02 and 5.67 pounds. Big bass of the tournament, 5.67 pounds, was caught by the team of T.J. Farris and Ryan Bearden.
Third place went to Leon Dannet and Tommy Jones with their limit weighing 15.98 pounds. Their big fish weighed 3.62 pounds.
Free entry for next week's Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament was drawn by the team of Roger Springs and Kenny Hunt.

The father, son team of Roger and Corey Cook
claimed first place with a very impressive limit weighing 21.28 pounds,
which ain't bad for 3 1/2 hours. Their big fish weighed 4.78 pounds.
2ND PLACE -- SCOTT SR. & JR. DANEK
Scott, Sr. and Scott, Jr. Danek,
another father, son team took second place with an impressive limit that
weighed 18.43 pounds. Their big fish weighed 4.67 pounds.
3RD PLACE -- LEON DANNET AND TOMMY JONES
Third place went to Leon Dannet and Tommy Jones with their limit weighing 15.98 pounds. Their big fish weighed 3.62 pounds.
3RD PLACE -- JOSH AND BILL (NOT PIC) SWINEBERG
Another father, son team of Bill and Josh Swineberg brought a limit to the scales weighing 15.73 pounds for fourth place. Their big fish weighed 3.93 pounds.
5TH PLACE -- RYAN BEARDEN AND T.J. FARRIS
Besides taking big bass of the tournament, T.J. Farris and Ryan Bearden placed fifth with four bass weighing 15.60 pounds.
