Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament 6/6

Another perfect evening of fishing for the forty-three (43) anglers launching out of PB#2 for the eighth Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament of the year. Bass fishing has been outstanding all year and it appears it will continue to be outstanding until the "dog days of summer" hit Missouri then it's strictly night fishing.

Right now, however, to place in the top five of this tournament the angler needs at least two or three 4 or 5 pound kickers. Some anglers report catching bass in deep brush and others say their best bite has been shallow, 5 to 10 feet.

There were nine bass 4 pounds or better brought to the scales, which included three 5 pounders and one 6.88 pound toad caught by the team of Doug Henzlik and Thomas Wells for big bass of the tournament. Five of the top six limits weighed between seventeen and nineteen pounds, which isn't bad for 3 1/2 hours.

Free entry for next week's Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament was drawn by the team Shane Landus and Brad Rozier.

1 Doug Henzlik & Thomas Wells 5 Bass 19.17 lbs.
2 Chuck Knight & Marcus Sykora 5 Bass 18.37 lbs.

4 Leon Dannett & Tommy Jones 5 Bass 17.53 lbs.
