Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament 8/3

Last night was undoubtably the toughest or should I say the worst bite the 37 anglers expirienced all year fishing the Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament.  When fourteen pounds wins a tournament and just eight pounds places, it's tough, especially with the caliber of the anglers fishing in the tournament.   There were only seven teams that weighed fish and out of the seven there was just one five fish limit.  The only postitive thing last night was the weather was perfect.

Most of the anglers said it has been difficult to find a steady pattern for catching bass the last couple of weeks.  The anglers reported catching bass in ten feet or less and others as deep as twenty-five feet, but not on a consistent basis with most of the bass caught being non keepers.

There was one bass weighing 4.59 pounds and one bass weighing 5.69 pounds brought to the scales.

Delbert Shepherd and Frank Carroll caught the 5.69 pounder for big bass of the tournament.

Free entry for next week's Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament was drawn by Harry Litzy and Dan Swan.
