t appears the 104 degree temperature kept some of the anglers at home
enjoying the comforts of their air conditioned home and a cold six
pack. There were only twenty-five (25) teams who ignored the heat and
decided to fish the 3 1/2 hour Missouri Angler Wednesday Night
Tournament regardless. The good news is the temperature dropped to a
cool 85 degrees at weigh-in.
The bite was slower than usual and just like all tournaments in order
to be in the hunt you needed a limit with at least one good kicker in
the mix and last night that was not easy to do for most. A majority of
the teams had a tough time getting keeper bites or a good pattern.
There were just six, 5 fish limits brought to the scales, five four
pounders and two bass weighing five pounds. Big bass of the tournament
weighed 5.86 pounds, which was caught by the team of Bill and Josh
Swineberg.
Free entry for the next Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament
will be on July 11th and was drawn by the team of Don Franks and Ed
Fisher.
