Twenty-seven (27) teams launched out of PB#2 at 6:30 pm with threatening
storms in the area, but luckily the rain didn't arrive until after the
10:00 pm weigh-in.
Most of the bass are on beds and a lot of the bass being caught are
the 13 to 14 inch bucks, however there are some good 3 to 6 pound
largemouth being caught. The most consistent bite has been spinner
baits, jigs and plastic baits worked in 2 to 6 feet.
Last night several 3 and 4 pound bass were weighed along with a 6.06 pound lunker caught by the team of
Dan Bowman and Dirk Slyuter for big bass of the tournament.
The team of Jeff Schultz and Waylon Kleffner took first place with a very respectable limit weighing 17.50 pounds. Their big bass weighed 5.44 pounds.
The team of Joe Gan and Rick Ziegenbein came in second with another respectable limit that weighed 16.87 pounds. Their big bass weighed 4.65 pounds.
The team of Dan Bowman and Dirk Sluyter claimed third place with 15.24 pounds, which included their 6.06 pound lunker.
Free entry for next weeks Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament was drawn by the team of Bill Cassiy and Quint Reed.
