It seems like Wednesdays are cursed. There's either rain, tornado
warnings and cold fronts, and like last night the weatherman forecasted
storms in the area. Although bad weather was supposed arrive
during tournament hours, twenty-two (22) teams took out of PB#2 for the
third Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament of the year.
Some bass are on beds and others are on their way, but because of the
screwy weather and cold fronts the bite will be good a couple of days
and lousy the next couple of days. The most consistent bite is spinner
bait and jigs.
There were just four limits brought to the scales with one bass
weighing 5 pounds are better. Most of the anglers reported catching two
or three bass in the 3 1/2 hour tournament.
Chad Green and Robby Robinson took first place with 5 bass weighing 16.18 pounds with a 5.79 lunker for big bass of the tournament.
Second place went to Roger Cook and Mike Hutton with 16.09 pounds. There big bass weighed 3.47 pounds.
Third place went to Shawn Kowal and Mike Hill with a weight of 13.29 pounds. There big bass weighed 4.90 pounds.
