Osage Beach Bait and Tackle: Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament

The Fish-off and last Missouri Angler Wednesday Night Tournament of the year took place last night and was a great success. The 41 teams took out of PB#2 at 5:00 P.M., a hour and a half earlier than the normal take-off of 6:30 P.M.

There were seven five fish limits brought to the scales, but only two managed to be heavier than 15 pounds. There were several three and four fish sacks weighed, but only six bass 4 pounds or better were weighed. There were more bass caught and weighed during the tournament then there had been the last four weeks. The hour and a half edge helped. Although there was a half moon, most of the anglers reported catching the majority of their fish before dark.

8th. T.J. Farris & Mike Delmotte 4 Bass 10.25 lbs.
9th. Terry Blankenship & Ron Clement 5 Bass 10.06 lbs.
10th. Nicky Winn & Ed Snelling 5 Bass 9.47 lbs
11th. Dan Swan & Harry Litsey 3 Bass 9.37 lbs.

1st Big Bass of the tournament weighed 5.67 pounds caught by the team of Marcus Sykora and Chcuk Knight.
2nd Big Bass weighed 4.80 pounds caught by the team of Ed Fisher and Don Franks.
3rd Big Bass weighed 4.09 pounds caught by the team of Wayne and Carol Drysdale.
Chad Green and Robbie Robinson weighed the heaviest five fish stringer of the year, on May 4th, weighing 23.02 pounds.
Rich Duncan and Kenny Hunt caught big bass of the year, on July 20th, that weighed 6.69 pounds.

After the 10:00 P.M. weigh-in, the anglers and their guests were treated with a delicious meal of pulled pork, potatoe salad, beans and slaw provided by Jim Ross, owner of Tirebitters Restaurant & Bar, the fisherman's hangout in Osage Beach.
Polygraph tests were conducted by Woody Tweed and everyone passed with flying colors.
